Gas Distribution Programme
Swagelok® Gas Distribution Systems
Swagelok® gas distribution systems are designed to safely and reliably deliver gases from high-pressure sources to points of use at the required pressure and flow rate for each application. Whether you require a a standard configuration or a custom-engineered solution, our systems are designed to support operator safety, improve process uptime, and maintain consistent performance across your facility.
Built around proven pressure control principles, Swagelok® gas distribution systems support a wide range of industrial, laboratory, and analytical applications where accuracy, repeatability and reliability are critical.
Fully Assembled, Tested, and Ready to Install
Our standard gas distribution systems are designed, assembled, and tested prior to delivery by certified pressure control experts. Delivering systems as complete, tested assemblies helps reduce installation time, minimising variability associated with on-site assembly, and ensure systems perform as intended from day one.
Each systems is ordered using a single part number from our application guide, simplifying specification and procurement wile reducing the engineering time required to design new systems. All Swagelok® gas distribution systems are backed by the Swagelok Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Modular Gas Distribution Subsystems:
Swagelok gas distribution systems are built using four modular subsystems that can be configured to suit your application, facility layout and operational requirements.
Swagelok® Source Inlet (SSI)
The source inlet establishes the connection between the high-pressure gas supply and the rest of the gas distribution system. Proper design at this stage is critical for safety and long-term reliability.
Our technical advisors ensure components are correctly specified and arranged with minimal connection points, properly supported assemblies, and hose routing that avoids contact with the ground. Where required, we can also advise on the use of specialised hose materials for specific gases or operating conditions.
Swagelok® Gas Panel (SGP)
The gas panel provides the first stage of pressure reduction and plays a critical role in overall system performance.
Selecting correct inlet and delivery pressures can be complex, particularly when accounting for supply-pressure effects, flow requirements, and downstream equipment needs. Our technical advisors help clarify these considerations and assist with selecting single- or dual- stage regulation based on actual application requirements — avoiding unnecessary complexity and cost.
Swagelok® Changeover (SCO)
Automatic changeover systems are designed to provide uninterrupted gas supply by seamlessly switching between sources as pressure drops.
While widely used, changeover systems are often applied as "one size fits all" solutions, even though systems requirements can vary significantly. Our technical advisors help teams understand how changeover systems function, how setpoints affect performance, and how proper configuration can simplify operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Swagelok® Pont-of-Use (SPU)
Point-of-use systems provide the final stage of pressure control at the equipment or workstation.
These systems allow precise adjustment of delivery pressure while offering convenient isolation and monitoring. Our advisors can also identify opportunities for cost optimisation — for example, where a single-stage gas panel may be sufficient if pressure variation between the SGP and SPU is acceptable.
SPU systems are available with multiple mounting and flow-path options to suit different site layouts, while minimising the risk of physical damage.
Designed for Safety, Reliability, and Maintainability
Swagelok® modular gas distribution systems are designed with minimal threaded connections to reduce potential leak points. Systems are clearly labelled and standardised to promote safe operation, simplify training, and support efficient maintenance and troubleshooting.
Using high-quality, standard Swagelok components also helps reduce lead times for replacements parts and supports long-term serviceability across the life of the system.
Engineered to Fit Your Application
Whether you require a standard solution or a fully customised arrangement, Swagelok's certified pressure control advisors can evaluate your requirements, recommend appropriate components, and design a gas distribution system tailored to your application.
The result is a robust, configurable gas delivery solution designed to improve safety, support uptime, and deliver consistent, repeatable performance.
